Perception of the Panic & Fear

We all have a story. We all have a past. We all have decisions made that we wish would have had different outcomes.

But what if we look at all of that of lessons instead of mistakes? What if we look at everything that has happened in our lives, our pasts, our childhoods as lessons we needed to learn to be who we are today – or who we want to become? I can tell you that it has taken me a very long time to get to this mindset. I did not have the best childhood. I have not always made the best choices in money, love, friendships, jobs, and on and on.

BUT, what I have done, is adjusted the way I perceive these things. Every Single Challenge or Struggle in my life was for a reason. Every “wrong choice” was for a reason. I would not be the person I am today, the wife I am, the mother I am, the friend I am, the sister, aunt…you get the idea…..without going through it all. This includes our current situation with COVID-19. We are all going through this together. We are all dealing with unknown and uncertainty. There is fear. There is panic.

But what if we choose to perceive it different.

  1. Instead of being upset that we are quarantined

  2. Instead of being fearful of what is to come

  3. Instead of being negative about the current situation

What if we try to shift our mindset?

  1. Find gratitude in what you have

  2. Find joy in slowing your life down

  3. Find compassion in how people are coming together

  4. Find the miracle in what is happening to the environment

  5. Find peace in your faith
