Hello beautiful people.
If you typically follow me for tips and tricks on using essential oils, today is going to be a bit off topic. But, I hope you stick with me as I feel very strong about today’s subject. And essential oil use does in fact fall under the “holistic wellness” category. So, really I’m still on topic. 🙂
Okay, so what is holistic wellness and why do I feel the need to talk about it?
According to WebMD: “Holistic medicine is a form of healing that considers the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and emotions — in the quest for optimal health and wellness. According to the holistic medicine philosophy, one can achieve optimal health — the primary goal of holistic medicine practice — by gaining proper balance in life.”
Lately, in my quest towards better health, I’ve really been called to a more holistic lifestyle. So of course I have been diving in and doing research on it and have decided to go full in. I joined a program to learn how to be a Holistic Wellness Coach. Don’t worry, I’m not trying to sell you anything or ask you to hire me to be your coach!!! I did this for me. I wanted to learn how to take care of myself in a more holistic way and what exactly that means and entails. So, while I’m learning, I want to share that knowledge with you all.
It’s more than diet and exercise. It’s also about lifestyle and mindset, spirituality and self-care. It’s not just western medicine but also including complementary and alternative therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, homeopathy, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and reflexology. It’s physical, emotional and spiritual working together to bring you balance.
And look, if this isn’t your thing, that’s OK. I will still be sharing all my Aromatherapy knowledge, tips, tricks, recipes, etc with you so don’t run away thinking I’ve lost my damn mind and have gone into the “woo” side of things. I mean, I have drifted over that way but that doesn’t mean you have to follow me. But if you are using essential oils in your life, I have to believe that you are also looking to live a more natural life. That you know there has to be more to “healing” yourself than just popping some pills. And that my friends is where I’m at. I am tired of taking several medicines every single day. I am tired of not feeling like I’m living up to my potential. I’m tired of being tired and unhappy too often. There has to be a better way and that is my current journey. I would love for you to join me on it and see if we can find clarity and enlightenment together.
I’m putting together a month long challenge for June. Deep breathe – it’s FREE. See, I told you I’m not trying to sell you anything. I promised remember. It’s going to focus each week on one of the 3 components of Holistic Wellness. Mind, Body, Soul. Then the final week, we will see how they all incorporate together.
